Animated models

Send an animated character from Meshy to Unreal Engine with its skeleton and animation, ready to play in your level.

Send an animated model

You send an animated model the same way as a static one. Before you start, turn on Meshy Bridge in Unreal Editor. For the steps, see Bridge to Unreal Engine.

To send an animated model, follow these steps:

  1. In the Meshy web app, open the animated model in the viewer.

  2. Select the animation you want to send.

  3. In the viewer toolbar, click DCC Bridge (the plug icon).

  4. Click Send to Unreal.

Meshy sends the rigged character with the selected animation at 30 frames per second. The plugin imports the character and its animation into Content/MeshyImports, places the character in the level, and sets it to play the animation in a loop.

To watch the animation, click Play in the Unreal Editor toolbar.
