Bridge to Unreal Engine
Send a model from the Meshy web app straight into the level you have open in Unreal Editor, without downloading and importing the file by hand.
Before you begin
-
You need a Pro plan or higher. On the Free and Starter plans, clicking Send to Unreal opens the upgrade options.
-
Install the Meshy plugin in Unreal Engine. For the steps, see Meshy for Unreal.
Start the bridge
To start the bridge in Unreal, follow these steps:
-
Open your project in Unreal Editor.
-
In the menu bar, click Window > Meshy Bridge. A check mark appears next to Meshy Bridge, and the plugin waits for models from Meshy.
The bridge is off each time you open Unreal Editor, so start it in every session. To stop the bridge, click Window > Meshy Bridge again.
Send a model
To send a model to Unreal, follow these steps:
-
In the Meshy web app on a computer, open the model in the viewer. DCC Bridge isn't available on mobile.
-
In the viewer toolbar, click DCC Bridge (the plug icon).

-
Click Send to Unreal.

Meshy sends the model as an FBX file. A notification in Unreal Editor shows the download and import progress. The plugin imports the model into a new folder under Content/MeshyImports, places it at the origin of the open level, and selects it.

You can send any model in your generations, whichever tool made it, except a Smart Rig result or an Ultra 4K model.

You can also send a model that another user shared in Community. Open the model, click DCC Bridge, and then click Send to Unreal.

Troubleshooting
The following table lists common problems, their causes, and how to fix them.
| Problem | Cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| Meshy shows "Failed to send model to unreal" | Unreal Editor isn't open, the bridge isn't running, another app uses port 5327, or your browser blocks access to your local network. | In Unreal Editor, click Window > Meshy Bridge so that it shows a check mark, and then send the model again. If your browser asks for local network access, allow it for Meshy. If the send still fails, close any other app that uses port 5327. |
| No check mark appears after you click Meshy Bridge | Another app uses port 5327, so the bridge can't start. | Close the other app, and then click Window > Meshy Bridge again. |
