On Windows, download the build for your engine version: UE 5.4, 5.5, 5.6, or 5.7. Each build works only with the engine version it's made for.
On macOS, or for an engine version without its own build, download the source package. It contains the plugin source code, which you compile yourself. On macOS, the plugin needs UE 5.5 or later.
You need a Meshy account. To send models with the bridge, you need a Pro plan or higher.
You can install the plugin in the engine, for all your projects, or in a single project.
To install the plugin, follow these steps:
Unzip the file you downloaded into one of the following folders:
For all projects: the engine's Engine/Plugins folder, such as C:\Program Files\Epic Games\UE_5.x\Engine\Plugins on Windows or /Users/Shared/Epic Games/UE_5.x/Engine/Plugins on macOS.
For one project: the Plugins folder in your project folder. If the folder doesn't exist, create it.
The file contains a meshy folder, so the plugin ends up in Plugins/meshy.
Open your project in Unreal Editor.
Click Edit > Plugins, and make sure meshy is enabled.
If you enabled the plugin in the preceding step, restart the editor.
When the plugin loads, the Window menu shows a Meshy Bridge item. You use it to start and stop the bridge that receives models from Meshy.
