Ultimaker Cura

Send a model from the Meshy web app straight into Ultimaker Cura, ready to slice for your 3D printer.

Before you begin

  • You need a Pro plan or higher. On the Free and Starter plans, clicking Ultimaker Cura opens the upgrade options.

  • Install Ultimaker Cura on the computer where you use the Meshy web app. The web app opens Ultimaker Cura through your browser, so you don't need a plugin.

Send a model

To send a model to Ultimaker Cura, follow these steps:

  1. In the left sidebar of the Meshy web app, click Print. If the panel asks you to select a model, select it in the list of your generations.

  2. In the Print panel, under Send to Printer, click Ultimaker Cura.

  3. In the browser prompt, select Always allow www.meshy.ai to open links of this type in the associated app so the browser doesn't ask again, and then click Open UltiMaker Cura.

Meshy sends the model as an STL file, scaled to 75 mm tall, and Ultimaker Cura adds it to the build plate.

To move the model to the center of the build plate, select it, click Move, and set X, Y, and Z to 0.

You can also send from the viewer toolbar. With the Print panel open, click Send to Printer (the paper plane icon), and then click Send to Ultimaker Cura.

You can send models from your generations, whichever tool made it.

You can also send a model that another user shared in Community. Open the model, click Print (the 3D printer icon), and then click Send to Ultimaker Cura.
